The VAN’Kerchief: “Tears Of Pride”– a special year round and locally made Vancouver souvenir.

An inspiring new souvenir, the VAN’Kerchief is locally made and designed promoting local business and supporting the BC Children’s Hospital Charity.

The VAN’Kerchief creates a feeling of pride when you carry it, wear it or wave it!

“Wear it with pride, Wave it with pride, in support of our communities, our city, our athletes and our country.”

Local downtown business owner Jon Paul Holt of Avantgarde Hair Salon in Yaletown and Deborah Vandenakker of Fresh Design have designed and produced this souvenir clothing item here in downtown Vancouver. It is now on sale at Avantgarde and other retail outlets across the Lower Mainland.

It was inspired by the tears of pride shed by Canadians as they witness the passing of the torch in the relay across our country.

The VAN’Kerchief will be raising money and awareness for BC Children’s Hospital Cancer Research with a percentage of every single VAN’Kerchief sold being donated to the hospital.

The VAN’Kerchief is a 24" square high quality pure white satin handkerchief to be worn around the neck, around or on the head, or attached to clothing as an accessory. On it is screened a contemporary design of our country’s symbol of pride, recognized around the world, THE RED MAPLE LEAF. It retails for $10 CDN.

It is a year-round souvenir from Vancouver and will be distributed by participating retail stores and office outlets along the “Flag Walk: Walk the World” route from GM Place all the way down to the center of Yaletown. It’s an opportunity to express love for Canada year all round and is not tied into one specific date or event.
